SUMMER SERIES 2010 – WRAP UP
Congratulations both teams for strong showings in the 2010 Summer Series. A big thank you to all those ladies who gave it a crack for the first time in Amanda Robertson, Leanne Campbell, Bridie Winnacott, Mel Pontre, Nic Fowler, Gill Power and Andrea Payne. The standard of play throughout the series was notably high. Organiser Renae Campbell commenting that on some occassions it equalled if not surpassed the game level of the season proper.
Breakers Blue made the gf and, whilst it was high stakes with a carton of wine up for grabs, were unfortunate not to take home the bounty (although thanks for the charity bottles…) It was a very close game with Latoya doing some hefty damage for the opposition and blue being unlucky not to convert scoring opportunities. Nothing that can’t be fixed for the season ahead!
Thanks to the organisers of the event who once again have put up an awesome casual alternative to winter season. And to Plummy who organised Breakers, thanks heaps xo With at least 3 new breakers set to play full time in winter and a couple who have put up their hands to play part time, it has been a huge success!
